PED Basic Brother Embroidery Software

Are you ready to begin in the world of embroidery design with your Brother Embroidery Machine? This is a good place to start.

The first step toward opening up a vast world of new embroidery designs for your machine. Import
embroidery designs in PES and PEN formats, view in Realistic Preview to see how your stitching will look before you stitch it, print design previews for use as placement templates, and write PES and PEN files to the included Brother proprietary design card. Includes 12 built-in embroidery designs. Note: files purchased at www.iBroidery.com are in .pen format.
PED Basic® allows you to apply simple editing operations to embroidery data (.pes files) created with our embroidery design software and to write the designs to original cards. PES files can also be purchased or obtained from the internet.

Already own PE-DESIGN® versions 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0? You can still enjoy all the new and enhanced features of PE-DESIGN® NEXT by easily upgrading your existing software with PE-DESIGN® NEXT Upgrade.

For Windows® 8/ 8.1 users:

  1. Position the mouse pointer in the Start screen to display the down arrow in the lower-left corner of the screen, and click it.
    ⇒ The list of applications appears.
  2. Right-click PE-DESIGN 10 (Layout & Editing), which appears under the title PE-DESIGN 10 (Trial Version).
    ⇒ The taskbar appears at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click Uninstall in the taskbar to run the application as an administrator.
    ⇒ The Programs and Features window appears.
  4. In the Programs and Features window, select PE-DESIGN 10 (Trial Version) and click Uninstall.
    ⇒ A dialog box appears.
  5. Click Remove to uninstall the application.
    ⇒ The following message appears shortly after uninstallation begins.
  6. Click Yes.
    ⇒ If the software has been successfully uninstalled, a dialog box appears.
  7. Click Finish.

(The uninstallation procedure is described for Windows® 8.1.)
